Also known as 4T60
Used 1985-92 in many GM models
(replaced by the 4T60E, but was phased out, so there is MUCH overlap).
It had an aluminum case. It was
distinguishable from the 4T60E in that it did not have a detachable
differential housing, had a TV cable and a snap ring retained servo on the side of the case. This
was an hydraulically controlled front
wheel drive overdrive
transmission with electronically controlled torque converter lockup.
Horizontal cooler line is the cooler
return line.
Band adjustments:
Intermediate = not adjustable Reverse = not adjustable
Gear Ratios: 2.921:1 1st gear 1.568:1 2nd gear 1.00:1 3rd
gear 0.705:1 4th gear 2.385:1 reverse
